Narrow focus
One or two products at a time. Each one earns its development budget by solving a real, specific problem for a real, specific person.
RPTX Software builds focused products that respect your attention, your data, and your time. Our first product, AskFolder, is live today at askfolder.com — it turns any folder into something you can actually ask, right in your browser: your files are never uploaded.
One or two products at a time. Each one earns its development budget by solving a real, specific problem for a real, specific person.
Plain JavaScript and WebAssembly, with AI models small enough to run on your own computer. Static pages on a global edge network, and no server holding your data. Current without chasing hype, and predictable where predictability matters.
Every feature ships with a reproduction script. If we cannot break it on purpose, we haven't understood it well enough yet.
No growth hacks. No notification spam. No "free trial" that quietly charges your card. We price honestly and cancel in two clicks.
Ask a folder of documents in plain words and get the passage, with its file and page. It all runs in your browser: nothing is uploaded.
Drop a folder into AskFolder and ask it in plain words. It shows you the passages that answer, with the file and page each one is on, and your files never leave your computer.
Finds passages by their meaning as well as their words, and forgives typos. A small AI model does it, inside your browser.
Each passage shows its file and page, with the words that matched highlighted. Open it to read it in place.
Your files are read on your own computer. The page's security policy forbids it from sending them anywhere, and anyone can check.
Open the page, drop in a folder, ask. No account, no install, no setup call.
PDF, Word, text, Markdown, CSV and HTML. AskFolder Pro also reads scanned pages.
Once it has loaded, AskFolder keeps working without a connection, on a train or behind a firewall.
Find the paragraph in the contract that proves your point, cited back to the exact page. Every claim traceable.
Ask across a whole folder of PDFs at once. Find the methods, the quotes and the page each one is on.
Ask your supplier archive about lead times and prices, and see the clause that says so.
New hires ask the actual docs in plain English, not your Slack history.
Before a line of code is written, we map the exact problem with the people who have it. If we can't explain it in one paragraph, we don't understand it yet.
A usable thing in a week, not a slide deck in a month. We get something in your hands fast so the feedback loop is real.
Tests, error handling, infrastructure chosen for longevity — the unglamorous majority of the work that makes software last.
We stay with our products after they launch. Small, steady improvements beat splashy rewrites. A changelog, not a newsletter.
RPTX builds a very small number of software products, each designed to do one specific job exceptionally well. We prefer depth to breadth, durability to novelty, and the kind of reliability you only get from watching real users work with a tool over several years.
We ship carefully, iterate quietly, and write release notes that actually tell you what changed. When something breaks, we fix it and write down why.
Rarely, and only for projects that align with what we're already doing. If you have an interesting problem involving documents, retrieval, or applied AI, drop us a line.
RPTX LLC is registered in Wyoming, United States. We invoice in USD and file US federal taxes transparently.
RPTX LLC is a founder-led company focused on retrieval, applied AI, and document-centric products, with twelve-plus years of production engineering experience behind it — more about RPTX. For KYC, vendor due-diligence, UBO verification, or any security questionnaire, see our Trust & security overview or email legal@rptxsoftware.com — we aim to respond within one business day.
Pricing is published directly on askfolder.com. AskFolder is free for folders of up to 50 files; Pro is $9 a month, $79 a year, or $59 once. No "contact us for pricing" tiers, no hidden-inside-enterprise seats. If you can't find the price in thirty seconds, we consider that a bug. How payments are processed, which taxes apply, and how invoicing works are all documented on the product page.
All published at the bottom of every page: Privacy policy, Terms of service, why no DPA is needed, service providers, and Trust & security overview. AskFolder's own policy and terms are at askfolder.com/privacy and askfolder.com/terms.
In effect, you already do: AskFolder runs in your browser, and your documents never leave your computer, so data residency is wherever your computer is. If you need it on your own web server, write to legal@rptxsoftware.com and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
No, and we couldn't: your documents and questions never reach us or any AI provider. AskFolder's model runs inside your browser. The few companies that see anything at all are on our service providers page.
Email is the fastest way: hello@rptxsoftware.com for general questions, legal@rptxsoftware.com for compliance, and billing@rptxsoftware.com for invoicing. We aim to reply within one business day, usually sooner.
AskFolder is live at askfolder.com — open it, drop in a folder, ask a question. For anything else, we read every email and aim to reply within one business day.
